Dru Yoga teacher Minette Ramia
Minette has been practicing yoga since 2006 and is trained in Dru Yoga. Minette began her 3 year yoga teacher training in 2015 and graduated in Melbourne in 2017. Minette is also trained in Kids yoga and runs weekly kids sessions at the studio. Her classes have a strong emphasis on combining breath, movement and flow. She believes yoga can and is accessible to ALL ages, body types and levels. Minette tends to follow the true essence and format of Dru Yoga classes, beginning with a light warm up/activation, beautiful stretching, asanas/postures, EBR's/sequences, pranayama/breath work and ending with a guided relaxation.
Minette's lessons have a focus on the heart space and 'finding stillness in a fast paced world', the mission statement of Dru.
Yoga Teacher Samara Hackett
Samara has been practicing yoga since 1998 and her preferred style is Hatha though she incorporates some Ashtanga in the sequence. In 2003, Samara completed the Yoga Teacher Trainer course at the Australian College of Classical Yoga which deepened her knowledge of the Patanjali Sutras and philosophy of yoga. While living and working in Borneo, Malaysia, she taught her first serious class (not family and friends) from 2014 – 2015. In 2018, she journeyed to northern India and stayed in an ashram in Rishikesh to complete the 300-hour Yoga Teacher Trainer course over 4 weeks. During this time, she developed an interest in Tibetan singing bowls and now includes them in her yoga lessons. Samara’s lessons have a focus on developing mindfulness with the practice of asana and pranayama.
We are very excited to welcome Samara to our studio. She is currently running Wednesday evening sessions from 7-8pm. Bookings can be made via our facebook page, private message, text 0421 814 274, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Cost is $15 per session and bookings are essential.
